Andrews' Sisters
Patty, Maxine, and Laverne began their careers on the Vaudeville circut but are best known for entertaining the troops during World War II. Their first big hit was a Yiddish song, "Bei Mir Mist du Shoen." It was the first million selling record for an all-female group. They recorded over 1800 songs and were known as "America's Wartime Sweethearts."
